There are new plans on the horizon for North Greenville University. This year the school welcomed a brand new athletic facility and a new dining hall.
For several years, Jim Craft, head of the Art department, has put in much effort and time for North Greenville to be able to purchase the Roe building. Although the building was purchased, there have not been any plans put in concrete.
"There have been discussions with architects, but nothing has come into plan yet," said Craft.
"We are looking for a donor, but no plans have been made," said Elaine King, executive director of business affairs. "The Roe building received a new roof and new windows."
The Tigerville elementary school building was also purchased by North Greenville University.
"There have been plans drawn for the building," said Dr. Anita Bowles, executive director for academics. "The Tigerville elementary building will consist of classrooms, offices, and a black box for the theater department."
Amanda Talcott, junior theater, is excited about the black box. "A theatre major without a black box is like a piano major without a piano," said Talcott.
The new buildings will help greatly to expand not only the campus size itself, but also the population of students and faculty.
