Local museum hosts open house, gala event

The Spartanburg County Museum of Art presents Holiday Open House on Sunday, Nov. 6 from 2-5 p.m. The Holiday Open House includes an art market featuring arts and crafts from the 3 Biennial Hub City Juried Art Competition, the art school's student-teacher exhibition and sale, unique artisan-crafted gifts in the museum shop and festive refreshments.
In addition, a special gala event and silent art auction to benefit The Colors Forever Endowment Fund in memory of Mr. Thomas M. Parham (1949-2005) will be held Saturday, Dec. 3. The museum is located at 385 S. Spring St. in the Arts Center. For more information call 582-7616 or 583-2776.
