The North Greenville men's basketball team came up short again at their second exhibition game loss this season with a score of 82-67 against Kennesaw State Saturday, Nov. 12.

Although the Crusaders shot the ball well in the first half, they were unable to stop Kennesaw State from holding onto the lead in the second half. The Crusader's Victor Duck, sophomore Christian studies, who was selected as NCAA First Team All-Independent last year, led North Greenville with 17 points and 7 assists.

"We are getting in a groove in our offense, but we need to cut down our turnovers and limit teams to one contested shot," said Coach Chad Lister.

The Crusaders did indeed shoot the ball well against Charleston Southern and Kennesaw State but their turnovers were higher than expected. The Crusaders are continuing to practice hard for the upcoming season.

Lister thinks the Crusaders could be playing the toughest schedule in North Greenville history this season. The Crusaders will face three Division 1 teams and their home opener Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 is against Tusculum College, who competed in the field of 64 in last year's NCAA tournament.

Some key Crusader players this season are guard Duck; Amonzo Gantt, freshman business administration and P.J. Schumacher, sophomore sport management.

The Crusaders will open the season with the first home game on Tuesday, Nov.15 and will also have a home game on Thursday, Nov. 17 against the Tornados of Brevard College at 7:30 p.m. in Hayes Gymnasium.
