Men's soccer team advances, women's soccer team finishes season strong.

The Crusaders were down 2-0 at halftime, but Crusader midfielder Danny Cobb, freshman business administration, scored two goals in the second half to tie the game in regulation. Both teams remained scoreless in the first overtime period.
Crusader midfielder Jimmy Sanchez, sophomore sport management, scored on a header with 5 minutes left in the second overtime to win the championship. Cobb was credited with the assist.
The Crusaders advanced to the championship game by defeating Piedmont College 2-0 on Friday. Marc Reilley, sophomore business administration, scored both goals in that win.
North Greenville women's soccer team lost their tournament chances in their semi-final match on Friday, Nov. 11 to Palm Beach Atlantic 5-3. Liz Boone, junior biology; Whitney Doublestein, sophomore sport management; and Tina Miller, freshman business administration, scored the goals in their final match.
The NCCAA named three Crusader soccer players All-Region. Reilley and Chris Blalock, senior undecided, were honored for the men's team, while Doublestein was the recipient for the women's team.
The men's soccer team advances to the NCCAA National Tournament to be held in Kissimmee, Fla. The Crusaders will learn on Friday who their opponent is for their first Tournament match.
