With the opening of the new student center and Cafeteria, several buildings on campus have been left empty. Time will be the narrator as these buildings are allocated for different purposes.

Down by the old Post Office, something new has opened on campus, a hair salon. Teresa Wyatt of Duncan, SC, is using the once empty space as an opportunity to help the surrounding community, as well as North Greenville University students.
"I just felt like there were several students without transportation and they could walk over there. I actually felt like that's where God told me to be. It just seemed like a good location." said Wyatt as her motivations for opening the hair shop.

Wyatt has had a long history in cosmetology. She studied at Burnett's located in Spartanburg, SC, in 1980. Since then she has taken a continuing Ed class every year to keep up with ever-changing hair styles, and she has 25 years experience.

She is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for students, faculty, and faculty's families. After 4:30 p.m., she will still be available but by appointment only. Wyatt's shop is a full-service hair salon. She currently has the following services: men/women/children cut $12, coloring starting at $30, perm $35, beard/mustache trim $6, bangs trim $6, men's cut/blow dry $16, women's cut/blow dry $20, shampoo/style/set $14, brow waxing $8, and nails or manicures are by appointment only, stop by the shop for more information.

Lastly, Wyatt hinted at running a name contest for the hair salon soon. She mentioned that she is looking to name the shop, and she is still gathering the details on how the contest will run and what the prize will be for the winner.
