On Friday, March 17, this semester's Dining Room Survey ended. The survey provides Aramark with essential information in the formation of North Greenville's menu. Aramark offered three prizes as an attraction for students to sacrifice a few minutes and fill out the survey.

"The survey helps Aramark create a program that the customer will enjoy better," said Susan Bell, marketing program manager, Southeast region.

For at least 10 years, Dining Styles (a trademark of Aramark) has been performing surveys with Aramark at North Greenville.
Aramark compares the results from North Greenville's facility to those of the Southeast region. Just three years ago, the surveys changed to an online format from a print format. With the printed survey, the students would be given a survey to fill out as they entered the cafeteria.

The three prizes for the survey this year are an iPod nano, two iTunes gift cards worth $50, and three iTunes gift cards worth $25. Aramark decided the prizes for this year's survey. Aramark's Philadelphia Corporation develops a package that is sent to all participating facilities. Dining Styles compiles the surveys and selects the winners. Being a third party, the winners are selected without any interference or bias from Aramark.

"Also, the survey helps to gather knowledge from those who do and do not eat with us," said Bell. The survey not only consists of questions regarding quality and convenience about the North Greenville facility, but also poses lifestyle questions. Usually, these lifestyle questions refer to genres of food one would pay for outside of the offered service on campus. Then, the facility can offer an alternative to leaving campus and eating out elsewhere. This combined with the feedback and comments on North
Greenville's facilities creates a menu for North Greenville that may be more enjoyable.
