Turner gets 'Taste of Broadway'

Turner Chapel was transformed into a Broadway stage as actress Carol Jaudes led the audience through a musical journey on Friday, March 24. Jaudes has had a career involving major roles from The Sound of Music and Cats to more comedic works such as Little Shop of Horrors and Nunsense.
Jaudes started the night off with the upbeat number, "Accentuate the Positive" by Johnny Mercer. Jaudes then moved into The Sound of Music's "My Favorite Things," followed by a comedic performance of "Adelaides' Lament" from Guys and Dolls and Little Shop of Horrors' "Somewhere That's Green."
Jaudes shared a video to give the audience a glimpse of the life she lived on Broadway. The video documented Jaudes backstage and getting ready for a show while she was involved in Cats, a cast she was a part of from 1993 to 1999.
Jaudes took time to tell of her time on Broadway with Cats. During her time on Cats, sharing the story of the ministry that she began with the women she shared a dressing room with seven days a week.
"I really liked that [she shared how] God can use you wherever you are," said Micah Deaver, junior broadcast media.
Jaudes continued her show with a song from Nunsense, one she sang in full nun attire. She finished the show with "Stop, Time" from Big: The Musical and "You Love Me" by Stokes/Wood based on Psalm 137 in The Bible.
