The first annual North Greenville University Spring Fling set up hopes for more spring fun to come next year.

"Most of the activities went well; we would have liked a little more participation," said Kelly Cooper, Student Activities coordinator.
Cooper explained that with minimal planning, the week became more trial and error. The sports activities received the most participation. Celebrity Jeopardy was canceled, but is being rescheduled for sometime later in the month.

Some of the bigger activities that students participated in included an 80/90's fashion show in the 63/64 Student Grill, guys' and girls' volleyball games, powder puff football, and the battle of the bands. Ashley Sullivan, freshman biology, won the fashion show and a $15 iTunes gift card. For the sporting events, the winning dorms were awarded points towards the McCormick Cup and Crown. Out of the Silent Planet, the judges' winners, and Falling Forward, winners of the people's choice, will be performing at the Relay for Life held at Travelers Rest High School.

"The fashion show was a lot of fun. The best part was participating with all the girls. They were great,' said Deanna Durham, junior intercultural studies.

At the conclusion of the week long event, the McCormick Cup and Crown winners were announced Friday evening after an outside barbecue. Middle Howard was awarded the Crown for the weeks total, and Foster 10 took home the Cup for the week.

"Middle Howard is getting an ice cream party for winning the Crown; I am pretty excited," said Keisha Tinsley, sophomore Print Media.
In close second were Roberson and Wood B. These were not the McCormick awards for the year, simply the week.

"I greatly appreciate all of the participation that we received. The ones who participated were so much fun, and we really had a great time," said Cooper.
