Hopefully, football fans won't be tired of their sport depicted on the big screen after the fall season's Invincible and Gridiron Gang, as Warner Bros. Pictures delivers the true story of Marshall University's football program in We Are Marshall.

It is an inspiring story set in West Virginia where fans cheer on Marshall's "Thundering Herd." In 1970, 75 members of Marshall's football team and coaching staff were killed in a plane crash, becoming the greatest disaster in college sports history. New strength and hope were found in the leadership of Jack Lengyel, played by Matthew McConaughey (Failure to Launch). His leadership healed a community in the process of rebuilding the football program and helped them all discover who they were.

Directed by McG (Charlie's Angels), We Are Marshall is rated PG for emotional thematic material, a crash scene and mild language and projected to kick a field goal on the big screen on Dec. 22. The trailer and more information can be found at www.wearemarshall-themovie.warnerbros.com.
