Will Smith (Hitch) delivers early Oscar buzz in The Pursuit of Happyness, a film based on the true story of Chris Gardner, a bright and talented man, struggling to make a living as a salesman. Gardner and his 5-year-old son, played in the film by Smith's real son Jaden, become homeless after being evicted from their apartment. Gardner lands an internship at a prestigious stock brokerage firm, pursuing a better life for the two of them. They encounter hardships along the way, including living in shelters or on the floor of a public restroom.

"Don't ever let somebody tell you you can't do something. You got a dream, you gotta protect it. If you want something, go get it. Period," said Gardner.

Columbia Pictures' The Pursuit of Happyness is rated PG-13 for some language, and due to brighten up theaters on Dec. 15. Check out the trailer at www.sonypictures.com/movies/thepursuitofhappyness.
