The Lady Crusaders (15-10) entered Thursday night's game against Erskine (4-18) on a two-game winning streak looking to extend it to three going in to the NCCAA Tournament. The Lady Crusader's opened up the game on a 9-2 run and kept their momentum the entire first half. The Flying Fleet could not find an answer for the Lady Crusaders who led the entire first half and were able to stretch their lead to 16 points making the score 31-15.
The Lady Crusaders led 39-28 at halftime thanks in large part to great shooting from Robbie Warner, junior marketing, Eboni Davis, freshman biology, and Audrey Toscano, junior international business, who combined for 30 of the teams 39 first half points and shot 83 percent from the three-point line.
The second half started off much like the first half as the Crusaders went on an 11-2 run and sprinted to their largest lead of the game at 50-30. The defense only allowed 31 points in the second half as the Lady Crusaders rolled to their third straight victory 72-59. The ladies had three players scoring in double figures. Davis led the team with 17 points. Warner and Toscano were not far behind with 14 and 13 points, respectively. The Lady Crusaders shot 46 percent from the floor, 50 percent from the free throw line and an amazing 67 percent from downtown.
