The girls basketball team traveled to Oakland City, Ind., over spring break for the NCCAA women's basketball national finals. The girls lost their first game against Oakland City University by a score of 81-69. They came back and won both their games against Greenville College 73-69 and Emmanuel College 69-53, giving them a fifth place finish in their division of seven teams. The ladies finish the season with a record of 22-12.

"Winning the last two games was a great way to end this season," said Beth Lowe, sophomore sport management.

Three Lady Crusaders scored double digits. Eboni Davis, freshman biology, led NGU with 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Debbie Wyatt, senior sport management, scored 16 points and pulled in five rebounds. Nikki Wood, freshman interdisciplinary studies, added 14 points and three assists.
