March 23 through March 30 North Greenville University went from 2007 to Old School with Spring Fling. Friday was spirit day around campus and movie night in the fountain park where Aladdin, Richie Rich and Home Alone were shown to keep in the old school spirit. Monday kicked off with cowboys and Indians running around campus and people enjoying childhood games.

"I loved playing hide and seek when I was a little kid. I would hide in places where no one could find me and then sneak to the base. I was quite good at it," said Heather Peele, freshman marketing, when remembering back to her favorite childhood game.

A Lego® and Easy Bake® contest was held keeping with the old school theme and the winner was Unit B.

Even some of the faculty and staff enjoyed playing by joining the talent show and performing some of their hidden talents. Mass Communication instructor Lara Eller showed how she entertains her niece with the "Ten Commandment Boogie" song. The business department demonstrated how they worship in their own unique way with sign language, art and a song. There was also some friendly competition with Dr. Adrian Pater and Dr. Julia Drummond at who had the best talent. Elizabeth Buck and Chris Haines with their Saturday Night Live performance took top prize.

Tuesday many people just pulled out whatever was in their closet and did not care if it matched for Wacky Tacky Tuesday. A game of capture the flag was held around campus. Jessica Binkley, freshman elementary education, was the winner of capture the flag.

Wednesday rolled back with flashback day. Manhunt was held that night and Mike Oostdyk, freshman broadcast media, won. Batman, Superman, and many others were seen Thursday on Super Hero Day.

"I liked to watch Power Rangers and then I would run around the house kicking things," said Oostdyk.

Four square and Super Nintendo tournaments were also held. BSU also went old school with singing songs from the 90s. Friday concluded the Spring Fling with a bonfire and ghost stories over by Younts Stadium. Ashley Sullens, freshman elementary education, was the winner of dress-up days for the entire week.
