Tennis beats Coker, falls to USC-Aiken

On Tuesday, April 3, the North Greenville University men and women tennis teams took on Coker College. The men won 6-3, and the women won 5-4.
The North Greenville men and women's tennis teams played USC-Akien on Friday, April 6. The Pacers swept the men's team 6-0. Improving their overall record 14-4.
For the men in single matches Gabriel Altmyer, senior international business, for NGU lost to Bruno Seves 7-5, 4-6, 10-5. William Ho, sophomore marketing, lost 6-0, 6-2, and Andrew Hack, senior biology, lost to Chris Kaetz 6-0, 6-0. In doubles matches, Ho and Altmayer, lost 8-3.
The women had a little bit of better luck with the Pacers, but still fell short 5-2. The win put Aiken 11-8 for the season.
No. 1 seed Teresita Mariani defeated Mayra Kaefer 6-4,6-2. No. 6 Caitlyn Whitted, junior sport management, defeated Everhardt 5-7, 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles the Pacers took all three matches away from the Lady Crusaders.
The men play at Johnson C. Smith at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 13, and the women's team plays at Erskine, Saturday, April 14 at 2:30 p.m.
