Two new meal plans offer commuters the opportunity to eat in the cafeteria at a cheaper overall cost.
North Greenville University began the new meal plans at the beginning of this semester "to attract more commuters to eat with us," said Amy Chase, cafeteria personnel.
One meal plan provides 25 meals and $25 in Crusader Bucks for a total cost of $125. The other plan provides 50 meals and $50 in Crusader Bucks for a total cost of $240.
The meals remain valid for a single semester while the Crusader Bucks last as long as the student attends classes at NGU.
The Crusader Bucks work at either the grill or the cafeteria any time throughout the semester.
The new meal plans afford commuters more time with their friends on campus, offer a convenient place to eat and save time and gas by limiting trips to nearby restaurants.
Cashiers have the information to give out the meal plans at any time during the semester. Commuters interested in purchasing a meal plan need to bring their student identification cards along with cash, checks, or a debit/credit card, which are all acceptable forms of payment for the plans.
