North Greenville played Pfeiffer University the weekend of March 14 and 15. North Greenville lost to Pfeiffer 5-4 in the first game of the three-game series. They defeated Pfeiffer University the following day in the second game by a score of 8-2. The third game of the series was rained out.

North Greenville was scheduled to play St. Andrews Presbyterian on March 19 at home. St. Andrews was leading 7-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning when the game was called off due to the weather. The game will not count, however, because the five-inning requirement was not met. It has not yet been rescheduled.

On March 20 the Crusaders traveled to Aiken, S.C., to play the No. 9 USC Aiken Pacers at Roberto Hernandez Stadium. North Greenville led 2-0 until the bottom of the first inning when the Pacers scored an astonishing 11 of the next 12 runs for the game.

In the first inning, Randy Stegall, sophomore undecided, led off the Crusaders by hitting a double down the first baseline on a 2-2 pitch. After a fly out by Josh Hohn, freshman undecided, Grant Kelley, freshman sport management, smashed a two-run homer over the leftfield wall. This gave the Crusaders a short-lived 2-0 lead.

The Pacers' Ryne Salmon would get them on the board with an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning. In the second inning they would receive four more runs including RBI singles by Cody McMorris and Chad Jacobsen. Kyle Rice and Salmon would both hit RBI doubles in the third inning. USC-Aiken then increased their lead scoring three runs in both the third and fourth innings. The Crusaders would fall to the Pacers 13-4.

Stegall and Kelley both had two hits for the night, making up four of the team's five hits. Stegall also scored three runs for the Crusaders.

USC-Aiken is now 14-0 all-time against NGU. The loss leaves North Greenville's record at 3-23-1.

The Crusaders are scheduled to play a doubleheader at Mars Hill College today at 2 p.m before travelling for a three-game series at Chowan over Friday and Saturday.
