More than 40 companies, joined by financial organizations and seminaries, will be at the annual North Greenville University Job Fair.
The fair will be on April 9. It will be held in Todd Dinning Hall from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All students are invited.
The Fair hosts local and national recruiters to come to our campus for a day and talk with students and anyone else who may attend about job openings within their businesses.
"This isn't just for students who are graduating and want permanent jobs. It is also for students looking for part-time jobs or even summer positions," said student services work study Zach Gilliam, junior history.
Since 2003, North Greenville's career fair has doubled the number of businesses that have attended.
Recruiters from graduate schools, the armed services, government jobs, ect., will be attending. News Channel 4, the USC extended campus and the FBI are scheduled to attend, and there will also be some financial organizations and several seminaries.
Like Gilliam said, this fair is not just for graduating seniors, underclassmen are encouraged to attend to look for possible internships and summer job opportunities. The benefit of summer interships or jobs is that students build references, which can lead to a future career post graduation.
In addition to internship possibilities, a student can also do some networking for future references, jobs, etc.
Gilliam said he is excited about this year's fair and encourages everyone to come.
