Women's tennis battles to clinch postseason spot
Men continue in slump, look for wins in last three matches to bolster

The women's tennis team is still trying to make their case for a postseason bid and improve on their 2007 third place finish in the NCCAA national championship as they played Lincoln Memorial University on March 29.
They went into the match looking poised even their record at 5-5, but Lincoln Memorial topped the Crusaders 6-3, dropping NGU's record to 4-6.
The women had a strong showing in the 2007 NCCAA national championship. The championship is double elimination, and the women lost to the 2007 champions Indiana Wesleyan University and Cedarville, finishing in third place.
Their next match is set for April 5 at Tusculum College.
Meanwhile, the men's team is trying to salvage what they have left of their season. They went into their home match March 25 against the University of North Alabama at 1-7, but the Crusaders hopes were shut down again as they were defeated 6-3.
The Crusaders then played on March 29 at Lincoln Memorial. In the end, Lincoln Memorial skimmed past NGU, 5-4.
North Greenville's once promising season has quickly gone into a downward spiral as they started 1-1 but have lost 8 straight since then.
The men swept the 2007 NCCAA championship. But the team has struggled to find successful play since the season's start.
With three matches left, the Crusaders are hoping to carry some momentum into next season. Their next match is April 1 at Emmanuel College.
